Vintage 1988 CUBS Pin Promotion – Apr 14-17
This weekend, baseball fans will converge upon Coors Field to see the Rockies take home a victory against the visiting Chicago Cubs. Visitors can also converge upon the National Ballpark Museum and take home a piece of Cubs’ history. The museum, located one block from Coors Field, received a donation of rare button-badges, which they will sell on a first-come first-serve basis. Emblazoned with the acronym “C.U.B.S.,” the buttons played a major role in an infamous battle between Chicago residents
ESPN Releases Video of David Ortiz and Peyton Manning’s Visit to the Museum in July 2021
In July 2021, during the All Star Game Festivities, the museum was honored with two very special hall of fame guests. David Ortiz and Peyton Manning, icons of their sport, visited the museum with the event being captured on video by ESPN as part of the “Big Papi’s Places” series. New Exhibit – Vintage Merchants Park Seats
We are happy to announce a new addition to the museum – two vintage seats (circa 1920s) from Merchants Park, Denver. The seats are on display in the ‘Denver Room’. Merchants Park, once located at Broadway and I-25, is an important chapter in Denver’s baseball history. The park was completed in 1922 and was home to the original Denver Bears, the city’s first professional baseball team. In addition to the Bears, many legendary players made appearances here. Equipment Donation for Marshall Fire Victims
We are accepting donations of lightly used baseball mitts, gloves and bats to be donated to the Boulder community baseball youth group that have lost all of their equipment in the tragic fire. Please stop by the museum during operating hours to drop off what you can. Thank You.
New Library Completed
You are invited to visit our new Museum library. We have books for all ages. Relax with a book on our comfy couch or play a game of chess. The library can be utilized for school projects, reading groups, etc.
