“Baseball was, is, and always will be to me the best game in the world.” ~ Babe Ruth. This is true for me too. I grew up a Reds and Phillies fan and my parents were Red Sox and Yankees fans. My mother worked for the Diamondbacks for 15 years as a Guest Service Relations attendant. My husband and I became a part of a season ticket group for the Colorado Rockies when the team came to Colorado in 1995 and it has given me the most pleasure to share this passion with my daughter, Moriah.

I love every game I can attend at Coors Field, but must share that Fenway Park is my heart’s favorite. Watching Boston from the centerfield bleachers is a top 10 baseball moment for me.

I believe the baseball gods led me to the National Ballpark Museum this year as I yearned for something new to do in retirement. I loved integrating baseball in to literacy, social studies, geography, and certainly math lessons throughout my teaching career. Sharing a passion for this game, enjoying the stories people bring to the museum, and learning more of the rich history of baseball makes volunteering here too much fun!
